The battery life on my W810i seems no worse than my W800i, although I accept the official figures do say otherwise.

The fact the screen shuts off so quickly might explain why you can still get exceptional standby times - and it's possibly the only minor annoyance on the phone. There's no option to keep the screen on (showing the clock) even with a warning that it will impact battery life.

I guess the screen consumes a lot more power than the old one. Still, an option would be nice as I would rather charge it more often than have to keep pressing 'back up' to get the screen back on after I stopped to blink.

w810i is better than k750i for a music phone but k750i has a lens cover to protect the lens , although i would swap my k750i for a w810i probably.

The lens cover hasn't proved to be an issue for me, although I was worried that it might be.

It's small and recessed. Should it get scratched (rather than dirty - which can be fixed with a cotton bud), it isn't that expensive to recase it.

in my book k750 for it's lense cover - not just for the better protection but also the ability to turn cam on with a simple slide of the lense cover, even when phone is locked. Advantages of W810 include faster menu when using large mem sticks, love the more subtle walkman theme and all black. Dpad works well but i haven't used it enough to say for sure if i like it as much as a proper joy. dual softkeys work well. i have some demo images to compare against my k750 but no differances are obvious on the handset itself. it's a nice phone i like it alot but the fact it has no active lense and the fact k800 3.2mp is coming soon means there is no point in me looking at one seriously. esp. since retail price here is 929 AUD! There's enough new stuff on the W810i to make it my phone of choice between the K750, W800 and W810.

The W810i has a vastly superior screen (colour wise, and size). The resolution may be the same, but you will see what I mean if you compare the two.

The W810i also has EDGE (useful for Orange users in the UK), the update service, NetFront web browser, Flash Lite, RSS newsreader, phonebook backup to MS and the camera is like that of the W900i - meaning little to no 'blue streaks' in low light images - my only complaint about the W800/K750 really.

Finally, it has both a Walkman button AND a shortcut key - the best of both worlds.

Therefore, given the choice I'd go for a W810i each and every time. In fact, it's probably the best 'all-rounder' from SE at the moment - as long as you can live without 3G.

W810 has a better screen, but I wouldn't say it's "vastly superior" to W800's/K750's.

@max_wedge

I was going to buy a w810 outright for $670 AUD, but why bother when I picked up my K750 for $440 AUD. $230 difference, forget that!

I wouldn't have purchased anything if I didn't kill my K700.

Is this ture? Do you have/had a w810? that this happened on?

As I thinking of getting the w810 to replace my k750. I'm looking forward to having a walkman phone, but not so much that I want to lose a very good camera. I would say the camera is more important to me, but don't want the K800 as this means I need to get new memory sticks, which I don't want I have a couple of gig pro duo, don't need the extra expence of get M2 cards.

i've got both k750 and w810.the w810 has a brighter screen but i've noticed that the displayed wallpapers,saved photos etc are a lot more pixelated than on my k750.side by side i'd choose the k750s screen.as for the walkman feature,there's on a few differences.
