Yeah, its just common sense, ask a question to be sure that you dont put your expensive electronics at risk of damage. This is a forum, forums are for questions...

I don't think it's a dumb question too. You have to off your phone and unplug your memory card in Nokia. Just taking precaution, yea?

Seeing as how I was just going to ask this very question today, I was pleased to find a post on the topic already. Certainly not a dumb question.

Surely not a dumb question... The phone itself may not show damage but we have to have as much info as we can to make sure that the memory card itself would be safe too.

come on man, this is the stupidest question in my life...
WHY couldn't you just unplug the card from the phone in stand by mode before asking suck a dumb question?
You seem to be the only person who does think it's a dumb question.
Also, I have looked at your previous posts and you seem to think that everybody is dumb and there is no room on forums for people like you who are obviously just Trolls.

have you tried it? havent tried it with themes... coz my idea is when you really pull the memstik out... the file your tryin to access maybe invalidated...
tho i have tried it with my screensavers... the moment i pull the stick.. the obvious happened... the screensaver vanished then the phone chosed NONE on the screensaver options...
so if you have a special theme or screensaver you want to use all the time.. make sure to move it or copy it into the phones memory....
ive also experienced having my screensavers in memstick... every now and then it disappears as my screensaver... then i hafta put it back again over and over... so i decided to put those things id always luv to see always on my phones memory.
ciao!

Whell, that's the whole idea with having parts of the memory removable and other parts fixed to the phone. Those thing you always want to have in your phone, like the ring signals, themes and screensaves, you put in the phone memory. Other things, like mp3 files, pictures and photos taken with the camera, you put on the memory stick. Doing lika that, it's not very inconvenient to have more than one memory stick, for example one for the camera and one for the mp3 player, and swap between them when needed. Only problem is how to store the memory stick that is not currently installed in the phone. It's so small and it's likely to get damaged if it is not handled properly.
