What you refering to there will take longer than the life time of your phone. I always charge up my phone when I feel like it, no problem at all. Just stick it in and have a good nights sleep.

Never leave a battery on a charger for more then 24 hours, you are over heating it. If the batt is getting real warm, try a different outlet, or remove from outlet after a couple hrs. Also, take the battery off the phone periodically. If you have ever bought regular rechargeable batteries, you will see that the instructions say to take the batts off the charger as soon as charged. Basically, the phone is part of the charging unit, even if not plugged into the wall charger. Leaving on the phone can cause freezes. What follows next comes from an SE phone designer at their US plant in north carolina. She said that because the batts tend to stay on the "charging unit (the phone)" all the time, the batts can get locked in a loop, causing phones to respond strangley, things like freezes or no LCD, so taking the batt off usually fixes this. She also said the explanation may be BS, but it works. I have seen alot of t68m's that the 0 button freezes, nokia 3395's where there is no LCD, but you knwo the phone is on, etc., and taking the batt off almost always fixes the probs."

Rechargeable batteries started life as, Ni-Cad = Nickel Cadmium, these had memory, if you didn't drain THEM properly you might as well have bought some Duracell batteries. Then they moved on to Ni-MH = Nickel Metal Hidride, (not too sure on spelling) these were better. Then came Li-Ion = Lithium Ion and now we have Li-Polymer = Lithium Polymer, you can do what you want with the Lithium batteries! As everyone has already said... your phone will die before your battery does!
