seems a bit shit that even though your paying out of the arse for insurance you have to pay for a new handset if it gets lost/nicked/broke whatever
thought that is what you are paying the insurance for?

o2 insurance company (marsh) will only provide you with either the same handset as a replacement, or a handset with similar specifications to the one you lost. They do give you options though, to what handset they will replace, if the one you lost is no longer available.

the insurance will be with and underwritten by a totaly seperate company so o2's stocks will have no effect on what replacement you get. If the insurance company has stocks of the w800 (or can get them) then that is what you will get. If not you will be given a choice of other phones that are deemed to be the 'same value' as the w800. You will also have to give a crime reference number over the phone before they will accept your claim. Therefore you will have to go to the local police station and explain how/where/when you lost or had you're phone stollen.

well done KK,

DO NOT TELL O2 YOU HAVE LOST YOUR PHONE IF YOU HAVE IT. THE PENALTY ISNT WORTH THE NEW W800I OR WHATEVER THERE GONNA SEND YOU.
