Once a person goes into a deal, they should finalize it.
If the person knows that there will be a delay then they should be sure to be in contact.
I personally do not think he's 'smearing' this individual. He is simply stating the facts of what has occured in this situation.
In some cases, it takes a thread like this one to actually get someone to become motivated in responding.
If someone tells me that they'll pay straight away, I expect that to mean 1 or two days.
He said he's been waiting since the 27th, although jlsonic said that he'd send the money on the 1st.
So that makes it 9 days today.
It takes 3-5 days for bank transfer.
Max 1 week for a check to arrive.
Paypal is instant.
He's tried contacting him via pm only as far as I can see.
Lamont, since you have his address, send him a letter if that's your only choice. Only takes a couple of pence.
I believe the purpose of this thread is also to get people's responses for those who've dealt with this person and to get opinions on solutions.
In the future lamont, I suggest that you take the telephone number of the person you are doing business with and also keep reference of the address if the deal is not fully concluded.
(although you did mention you do have his address)

i have got his address but looked it up on 192.com and name he gave me doesnt match that at the address.
He was meant to be sending it via cash by recorded/special delivery. He contacted me after my 1st PM and told me would be in post ASAP. still no sign and no response to PM's.

contact trading standards, send the letter via email to them also and when you send it to jlsonic send it recorded so there is proof, if he doesnt respond to that you can take legal action

he lives in county Antrim. i will give him until friday then contact police as you can contact them online now for matters like this and contact trading standards! thanks guys
