cstasik, do u use XP, as I've had hardware such as scanners not running on my PC, cos I really don't want to buy something that won't run on my machine.

yeah i run XP, its definatly compatible just plug it in the USB port then switch on the pc,
as soon as it starts up, its recognised and ready to go, just select recieve item on ur phone and it connects automatically!
then its a case of right clicking on the pic/tone/theme etc and send to - a nearby computer!
Very Good, and i do reccomend

I bought this one:

works like a charm with my XP RPO SP1, never had a problem, and it is tiny and neat, very cool device...
nice seller too, fastest delivery.

I would go for a Bluetooth adapter. It's much better than an IR-port. And also with pccontrol you can use your phone as a remote control of your pc. That is way cool...
And besides a Bluetooth USB adapter is not that much more expensive...

i got the bluetooth too, sold it nex day though, it is very troublesome, i spend 6 hours trying to connect my phone and it never worked out, it finds the connection and thats pretty much it, never goes any further... could not do anthing, transfer files, upload nor download... with IrDA you just plug it into the usb and you don't even need any software, it just works... much better device, but this is my personal prefference and that's much easier for me, i am not speaking for everyone....

You must have had bad luck or a lousy Bluetooth adapter. My Bleutooth was just plug'n'play. Plug it in install the software, set the phone to discoverable, search for the phone, pair the devices. And now they are always paired and everything works perfect sending files surfing the internet, sync'ing the calender. I haven't had a singel problem. Just click on synchronize and it syncs the phone even if it is in another room of my apartement. Bluetooth workes so perfect and it's even better than I thought it would be...

ve had no problems at all. The computer can connect with the T68 in all of my appartement, even on my balcony

yup... you are right i guess i had a shitty bt adapter, would not pair with my phone, everytime i tried it would just not establish a bond, i mean the phone showed that it was paired with the bt and the bt showed the same thing, but as soon as i start transfer of the item it'll say pairing lost or whatever, so no lcuk for me with bt, but infrared is enough for all i do, i don't sync neither do i surf the net on it, i just custumize my phone thruough it... anyway i need my irda for teh 7210 i also have, it does not have bt so, there is the main reason of me chosing irda over bt
