Hmmm, one of the reasons I wouldn't buy a phone on ebay. Was it supposed to be a "boxed item" when you got it?

You should be able to. When I sent my phone in for repair they asked when I bought it but didn't require any proof of a receipt. They did ask for the numbers on the back of my phone which were the serial number, manufactured date and esn number i believe.
I believe all their phones are covered by a 1 year warranty. I bought my phone from expansys when they only shipping from the uk and was able to send my phone to the MN SE service center.
