Did you try to flash the phone by yourself? thats probobly your problem.and you warranty is not valid anymore, so i guess you have to pay to get it reflashed.

I can't even believe i was considering it for a moment, too dangerous. i just wish they flashed it in U.S. BTW, for all you R5D users is it really that much faster than an R2E? if it is i guess i will do it next time i go home...

Hey guy, please read carefully!!! The problem of this guy is not due to flashing by himself!! He DIDN'T DO SO! Please don't always say that flashing by ericsclient is dangerous!! It's quite safe if one has learnt enough before he flash.
Please make your conclusion only when you have evidence!

Are you sure that before you do "reset GDFS", your counter is already 0? If you have non-zero counter, and do a reset GDFS, you will have a very LARGE chance to get into trouble. If so, don't blame anyone, it's just because you haven't learnt enough.

The counter was 0. I did reset gdfs, something that my ericssclient provider ask me to do. I got the codes, but the phone didn't turn on again. Thats the whole story.Then I tryed to ressurect using its IMEI number, but nothing.The IMEI code that Ericssclient provide me was not complete. It was the same as my phone's IMEI but without the last digit. The last digit was missing!! The thing is that I don't have an idea on what I should do now. I don't know if the phone is useless or if I can fix it and how!! If you know how I can fix it please let me know.Thank u

Worst part is that trying to flash the phone n upgrade it yourself eventhough your phone still has warranty, why risk your phone n try to be service guy when u can just bring the phone to any service center to upgrade it for free? n why is it that voiding the warranty? warranty here in malaysia is not cheap, unauthorized set cost us RM900 which is equivalent to USD236 n warranty set cost RM1700, USD 447. For you malaysia out there who have flashed the software yourself using a warranty set im sorry to say that it is very stupid to do so. Same for those whose country's SE dealers are slow in updating software, it wont kill you for not having the latest software upgraded! just wait and u will get a chance. So the moral value behind all this crap is that.......if you dunno how to do, DONT DO IT! unless u are rich n is a potential service guy........otherwise bear with the consequences n stop crapping around.
