I am also experiencing the same problems. I too got rid of the 3 branding and replaced with an original SE one. Makes the phone work alot better and you don't end up accidentally opening up some 3 advert or connecting to their site every 5 seconds cos of all the links they spread about in the menus.
Anyway, after manually entering in these same settings I found off the internet the only thing, that I have found so far not working, is sending MMS. I haven't tried video calling yet.
I heard about 3 not wanting to give out the settings over the air etc so I tried putting in a free pay as you go sim card and calling them saying I wanted to use that phone to give as a present and was testing it, but mms wasn't working, can you please text me the settings. The guy said the k800 wasn't 3g enabled ( HELLO!!- you gave me it.. but I didnt tell him that lol) and this would be why it isn't working. I argued with him saying they have the phone available to buy on Three. He eventually went through some settings with me and nothing worked ( the things he got me to try were bizarre) then he said you need to buy another phone to put your sim card in, and refused to text me the settings cos he didn't think this was a 3g phone ( I also told him I got it off ebay and gave him a false IMEI code incase they wanted to block it or something). I didn't want to push my bluff too far so I just hung up after that, but maybe someone with better bluffing skills can try the same method to get someone there to text them the settings and post them up somewhere.
If they could it would be a great help. I might try again later and see how far I can get, but I don't want to arouse their suspicions and get my phone blocked.

If someone helps us out here ( I am sure there must be many of us in the same boat) then they are truly worthy of god like status and praise.

Thanks in advance

Interesting development:-
Switched the network settings to recieve 2g (GSM) signal only and tried to send a mms and it worked. got a bit under the text when I was asked to- send? Yes or No - that said 'not on home network, send anyway?', then it went through the same thing- looked like it was trying to send... and it sent. cool eh?now i had been double checking the settings were still all the same as they were supposed to be just before I tried that, so whether I did something there to make it work I am not sure, but either way I now have a way to send mms.

While I was writing this I just thought to try and re connect to the 3g network signal and tried to send a mms and it just worked, so everyone else having this problem, just keep trying playing around with those settings, and reconfiguring them around and back again, and try switching to 2g signal and sending then back again.

I now have a fully working, unbranded k800 WOOHOO
(tested video calling and is working too)

Thanks

PS-
the options on this phone seem to vary from other SE phones that those settings work on, so I am not sure exactly what I was doing before, or doing now to make it work, but just keep trying those different combinations with those settings - here's what I got:

make the Three gprs(or three wap or whatever name you call it) internet profile like what is described before- with homepage of http://mobile.three.co.uk/hb/K800i/HutchKey - with the name of 3 Services
than make the 3 MMs as an internet profile also

use proxy:yes

proxy address: mms.three.co.uk

port number 8799

no username or password

This homepage is http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc - with the name MMS

Then you need to make a 'Data Account' under connectivity then Data Communication, called 3 MMS with APN three.co.uk and IP address of 217.171.129.2 - I have the same numbers in DNS address, not sure if that is required, but it works. The things i have ticked in there for Authentications are 'None' 'PAP' and 'CHAP' I think everything else is unchanged form the normal.
For the wap you also need to create an account with same name as the wap setting, in my case '3 GPRS'
APN: three.co.uk
allow calls: automatic
everything else normal
THAN under messages and then settings, then picture message:-
change mms profile and select 3 MMS
( I think i might have had to create this myself the first time I tried to create a MMS it gave me the option to create this if I remember correctly)
the options in here are:-You can edit the profile name ( 3 MMS)
Message server: http://mms.um.three.co.uk@10021/mmsc

Internet profile: Select the internet profile 'Three MMS' here

and that as they say seems to be that

Thanks- Had looked on about 7 or 8 forums, and found people having same problem as me, then posted myself on this and a couple of others. So- as I finally got it to work, I thought the least I could do was post what i did.

MODS-

Howz about getting all these settings for different phones stickied somewhere?
and we can get them altered when certain phones have different options to other phones, as in this case

so we'd have stickied the basic settings, or a forunm heading with them in, then a subsection with the various things different phones need to go with their different options that they have?

Hi Can someone please help me with these settings.

I debranded last night and I can't get the settings to work. I can send MMS's ok but I can't browse my three page.

When following the settings above, I have no option to make internet access: HTTP, and for WAP: no WAP option.

It actually seems more hassle than it's worth! ;(

Oh, and even though I've debranded I still get a '3' on my front screen where it should say 'Sony Ericsson'. Anyone any idea why? Is this a SIM card thing?

Cheers

EDIT: Ok, I deleted everything I did before and now I can access net and MMS so everything is ok! ;o) I would still like to know why I have a '3' on my main screen instead of Sony Ericsson though.

Just to clarify, im pretty sure there are several mistakes still in the settings above.

if you enable the proxy for the Three WAP profile then browsing will not work for me on ThreePAY, it says BLOCKED.

MMS will also not send if you dont have the proxy ENABLED in the threeMMS profile

Unlike shown above, the proxy should be in the THREE MMS profile!
The address is also case sensitive as Mms.three.co.uk does not work it has to be mms.three.co.uk

So all in all i have

ONE data account:-

Go to Connectivity
Data Communication
Data Accounts
New Account
PS Data
Give it a name - Three
APN - three.co.uk
Save

2 Internet Profiles:

1st Profile: Three WAP for browsing-

Go to Connectivity
Data Communication
Internet Settings
Internet Profiles
New Profile
Name - Three WAP
Connect Using - Three (named earlier)
Use Proxy - No
Save

Highlight and Select More
Advanced
Change Homepage
Name - 3 Services
Address - http://mobile.three.co.uk/hb/K800i/HutchKey
(case sensitive)
Save

2nd Profile:

Go to Connectivity
Data Communication
Internet Settings
Internet Profiles
New Profile
Name - Three MMS
Connect Using - Three (named earlier)
Save

Highlight and Select More
Settings
IP Address - blank
use proxy:yes
proxy address: mms.three.co.uk
port number 8799
no username or password
Save
Highlight and Select More
Advanced
Change Homepage
Name - MMS
Address - http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc
Save

Then finally:

Go to Messaging
Settings
Picture Message
Validity Period - Network maximum
Read Report - Off
Delivery Report - Off
Content Alert - On
Auto Download - Always
Accept Messages - (Select All)
Message Server - http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc
Internet Profile - Three MMS

(case sensitive)

Now you are done, but make sure that in internet profiles, the Three WAP profile has a dot in the selection box to ensure it is the default profile for internet browsing else it will not work.

Big, big thanks to iamcrunchie for putting all those settings into a simple (and working) format. But also many thanks to all those who posted settings in the thread.

Best wishes, Neil

I`ve got the same problem with my Z610i. I`ve flashed the horrible 3 customizated firmware with the original SE one, and now I can`t get online, no mms, no video calls, nothing.
Tried to call 3 customer servicers, but the guy in the other end of the line, aparently sitting somewhere in the india, was no help at all.
I am thinking about returning the phone and canceling the whole contract, because to me this looks like really unfair deal.
By doing the flashing, I`ve already lost the waranty on the handset, so why not just send me the settings again via sms, and make more money on me using their online services?!

Do you guys think, that the internet settings published in ths thread, originally for K800, could work with the Z610?

Thankx

M.
