On the Warranty PDF file for SE phones (downloadable from SE support website), it says:
Quote:
Minor variations in display brightness and color may occur between
the phones. There may be small, bright or dark dots on the display.
These are called defective pixels and occur when individual dots have
malfunctioned and cannot be adjusted.
Two defective pixels are
deemed acceptable.
My brother's W550 got one defective pixel.

More interesting is that most LCD manufacturers have written into their warranty that up to 3 or 4 dead or frozen pixels is acceptable and that they won't replace the screen if this occures!!
Very bloody annoying if your playing a flight sim and you keep mistaking that "dead" pixel as an enemy target and spend several minutes following it wondering why your not getting any closer!!!!!!

Strange, I went to SE Support UK website and selected the W900. The Warranty information link isn't there.
Try choosing W800 or K610 as your phone while under SE Support (I tried UK) and there should be a link to the Warranty information document file.
