@ ghostfreak: Ok Will do.
@ Residentevil: Superglue is nasty stuff and i wouldnt even try that near my phone! Eproxy glue may be better. I still have the orginial rubber top.

Why dont u just buy a new joystick? It is not expensive. Just go to a

support center and say u want a new joystick but that u r gonna pay for it (dont use the warranty). I´ve done it and it worked, got back my w800 with a new joystick 2 hrs later. But theres a catch: I live in Brasil. And another one: the joystick cost something like 15pounds and thats not very cheap for some...

@ SloopJohnB: I'm not sure if the UK repair centres do things like that. They most likey would say to get send the phone away and get the joystick replaced for free as it is still under warranty rather then pay.
@ jack77777: Thats wot i've gonna try first, using eproxy glue (the stuff that come in two seperate tubes and you use a spatular to mix them) and see what happens. I've used eproxy glue to fix other things and its quite strong stuff so it will hopefully hold the rubber tip back in place.

Oh now that's interesting. I carefully placed a blob of eproxy glue in the void where the joystick rubber used to be and it formed a nice round shape. So i decided to leave it as that and let it dry to the air rather than stick that orginial joystick tip back on. It looks good so far. It's still slighly sticky to the touch so will have to leave it over night to dry. Will post some pictues once it does!

Damnit my orange rubber button fell off last week and when I went to glue it back on, it appeared to be too large!! I couldnt even force it back in - it seemed to be the same size at the top of the joystick including the rim?!
I destroyed the rubber in my attempts to force it back in!

Bah!

yea that how it is, you have you get one side in and mush the other side in, it worked for a month before it fell out again and got lost for good, ive just gotten use to it now so it dont bug me no more as long as it dont effect the performance of the phone it doesnt bug me.
