This is how it worked for me. I installed the driver that supported the headset profile. After that I paired the headset with the computer. At that point your headset won't take over the sounds from your computer. The last step you have to do is change the setting for sound in your computer. Go to my computer, control panel, sounds and multimedia and select audio. In the sound playback part of this screen you have a preferred device (this should be your sound card). If you pull down the menu a new option should appear "Bluetooth Audio". Select it and make it standard ie. use the apply button. This did the trick for me. Also every sound now goes through the bluetooth so if you want to use everything as normal change back to your sound card. I hope this helps.

(My computer runs windows 2000)

it takes sound, if i connect headset the default audio becomes BlueTooth Audio, when i disconnect it defaults back to my laptops sound card....
but the issue is that when bluetooth audio is selected (connected HBH-30) or not, the volume slider is disabled, and moved to Lowest position..
what should i do ? did it happened to You ?????

Thanks

You're right. The volume slider gets disabled when I select bluetooth. But the slider stays at maximum. So it is propably something in your computer doing this.

arghh!!!
one more question,
my playback in Volume controls (mixer) is disabled, mic is disabled but near the max value, and there is
"Analog Connector" that is also disabled, but not "muted"
is it the one that uses sound ?
p.s. i hear "tshhhhhhhhhhh" in the headset, but no indication of mic activity even if i screaaaam aloud :|

Thanks for any advice.....

Heres what you do....buy an Apple Powerbook like I have with the bluetooth adapter...than buy the T68i and the headset....then download isync and the T68i dialer....than you can have the phone anywhere as long as it is within bluetooth and have the headest on....when you go to the T68i dial program you can pick anyone in your address book and then click dial...it will dial the phone and transmit the signal to the headset. BUY APPLE!!!

Hi, is it still only with TDK or MSI drivers for your bluetooth adapter that you can use the Headset Profile?
