probably won't do you any good now, but remember to use a laptop with a battery or a PC behind a UPS when doing any kind of flashing eeprom on any device.

I have heard that if your M600 is not a retail version (eg proto) you will also see the message you see from the Update Service.

remove the battery and see what build information there is. Also PM me the IMEI and I will compare this to another IMEI that I have seen for a proto M600
