People, non of you seem to take into consideration the N73. Is not as huge as the other 2 and has lots of features for such a compact device. The P990i is not out for another month at least and there isn't any software for it. It will have to be seen how usefull/stable is as a PDA. In my opinion symbian is not really ment to work as a PDA. Se is giving it all to prove me wrong and I hope they'll succeed (given enough time) WM5 is the established PDA OS. Also the specs are a bit outdated but still Ok if you don't care about 'cutting edge'. The N93 - huh even heavier then the P990 (not much bigger thou when closed !) On the other hand it has everything what technology can offer in a cell as of 2006. (television and wimax are not really out as of 2006 althou trials are ongoing). Unfortunately the N93 will have a 'cutting edge' price too, which brings me back to the Little N73 as top dog for 2006. But then again - you are welcome to disagree - Greetings from South Africa. p990 will be available next week in Dubai .... n93 in the coming weeks ...
we just don't like the n73 between these 3 phones

but on the price-wise side ... ur damn right ... in some countries you buy a second hand car with the cost of a n93 (ok ok a beaten-down 4'th hand car form the former soviet union ) but none the less a car

The N93 is undoubtably the better specced phone...That's where we disagree - the P990 is far far better specced as a phone. The N93 might have camera/video stuff but that doesn't make it better specced - just confused!

I've got to admit since I started work at Vodafone a few years ago, I've not liked one Nokia what so ever. The 6230(i) was too basic, the N70 was a piece of shit, as was the N80 and N91. So slow and just not user friendly in my opinion!! The E61 is the best I've found so far but I still don't think its that user friendly. And the lack of a camera is another reason why I dislike it (I know the reasoning behind it etc but thats my opinion) I have played with all the above for quite some considerable time but still Sony Ericsson have a much better operating system even on the non-symbian phones! Sony Ericsson all the way for me..

does the p990 have these ?
GPRS Class 32, 107.2/64.2 kbps
EDGE Class 32, 296 kbps; DTM Class 11, 236.8 kbps
Polyphonic (64 channels), MP3

ALLMOST FORGOT: NOKIA DON'T POSTPONE A PHONE FOR HALF A DECADE !!!!

In that case I wonder if you won't be better off with the P910i. Yes the specs are even older then the P990i but you know what you get and it won't cost you a arm or/and a leg. To get a glimpse of the problems the P990 will have to sort out just read the treads about the M600 and make that X 2 If you want a more or less decent Pda look at WM5 in general and TyTN in particular. I dont think you need Edge and UMTS in one Device anyway. No company has released both technologies on a single GSM SIM CARD.

I would go for P990.

All the advantages of the N93 are multimedia wise only. 2.0 is enough for me for Mobile use and personal pictures. Ive got a 10.1mp camera for profesional shots, a sony video camera for videos.

I admit though the TV out is an awesome technology to have, but you can get the bluetooth media viewer at SE and you will look cooler

To put it into perspective, these devices are made for different walks of life. The N93 and the K800 would be seen more as competitors whilst the P990, Palm Treo Series and windows mobile PDA phones would rival each other more.
