To be honest I wouldn't expect to ever see new versions of TomTom Mobile on UIQ or maybe even series 60 again. TomTom's whole focus has changed over the last year or so to selling their own PND's which presumably have far more margin in them, and they can certainly shift far more volume to consumers through the retail channel.
I suspect Route 66 will be the only viable UIQ navigation software (and I used Wayfinder on my old P910i so on that basis, and unless it has changed drastically its not exactly what I'd call viable).
Tomtom were never really interested in UIQ on the P910i in the first place - they'd had the software working and ready to go for ages (ISTR at least 18 months before release), but decided for "commercial reasons" to delay its release until it was almost not worth bothering.

It will not come, only when they can do a deal with a provider or with SE. That is not planned at this stage, so no TT for P990i, W950i or M600i.
There will also not be a TomTom 6 version for S60, S80 or S90. TomTom is only willing to bring it when providers, retailers or brands are interested in package deals.
I will buy a TTGO 910 and build that into my car. Next to that I will use the P990i as MP3 player in my car.......

The FM transmitter is quite suited for that.

Route 66 by a long way if my past experiences with Wayfinder were anything to go by.
Ultimately they are very different products - Route 66 is a traditional system comparable to TomTom, whereas Wayfinder is a bit like a thin client navigation system - no maps, or route planning are done of the device itself, but use your phones data connection to their servers for map downloads and routing.

My experience backs-up Sleepyhead. I had a nightmare with Wayfinder on my Nokia 9500. They just don't know how to produce good quality software. In the end they had o give me 3 months extension free to my subscription because the 9500 version was just very faulty (they also had to give me a new GPS as the standard Wayfinder GPS did not work with the 9500). I now use TomTom on my HTC Universal and its much more reliable (but can be as incomplete as Wayfinder when it comes to some areas of the country).

How familiar does that sound. I think they must have ended up giving everyone a 3 month extension.
