Now this could be tricky to organise but if you got a set number of friends say 6 (for arguements sake) all willing to pay at least £100 (for arguements sakes)... tehn get yourself on easyjet... see whats cheap for the dates you require and go for it... if your clever you could go for 2 days and not have to book accomodation... i recently went on a 25th birthday party to newcastle and got a plane on saturday morning (8:00) and returned sunday morning at about 10:00..... this gave me over 24hours of drinking pleasure all for teh snip price of £30 return........ BARGIN!
This could be done in somewhere like prague.... but if you want a cheap and great holiday id recommend Bratislava (which is around teh prague region) - amazingly cheap and a beautiful place......
The only prob with teh idea of a mini trip abroad is getting everyone to pay up.... but with it being your 18th mate theres so much scope for contacting places abraod and saying its your 18th.... they will do you some deals etc....
Other than that why change a habit of a lifetime - just get a bottle of 'quite frightening' and get yourself to teh nearest park or bus stop

another idea mate is to hit london town in fancy dress.....dont pussy out tho and go as 'men in black' lmao! do something crazy like teh pink panther or something..... me and my GF had a joint birthday last year and went as famous peopel - me being austin powers for teh occasion aand her being marylin monrue
(in our clan we also had -scooby doo, shaggy, indiana jones, jack (pirates of teh carrabbean), men in black (tut tut), a ghost buster, and ace ventura! was a class night in which we had a limo around town for an hour first tehn guest lists entry to some bristol clubs
its all about organising matey and youve got plenty of time just do yourself a favour and get on top of it asap
(limos are remarkably cheap when theres at least 8 of you (split the cost) and takign into consideration teh cheapo chapers they chuck in
