There has already been a number of service pack releases of WM5. I think they are already up to AKU3.
From what I have seen of recent WM5 devices they are very stable, and certainly more than a match for the M600i in it's current state or from what I have been hearing about the P990i so far. Even up to the end of my P910i ownership I would never have really classed that as 100% stable!
There really is an awful lot of FUD spread about WM based devices mainly by people who have never used them for any length of time.
Of course WM has its bad points, but so does Symbian too. Each has their own merits.

Correct.....Ive seen a few WM5 handsets in action and the people who i know that have one speak VERY highly of them (one of which has had a P900 and a P910i). Most say to go for TyTN over P990i but mostly because the type of device im after is more suited to PPC over smartphone.

My experience of the P900 has been VERY good so far as to say have only had to replace the flip once. Though software-wise it has crashed countless times LOL. Had mine since March 2004 so its had a good ol running

i go for the p990i because it has a stereo bluetooth support that htc tytn does'nt. and they said that the camera of the tytn sucks and has a trouble communicating with the person using it.

The TyTN does support A2DP.

I've got the Orange version of the Jasjar & I hate it, you have to reset every other week, the alarm doesn't always work. It's very slow to wake up from standby bluetooth doesn't always work & you look stupid holding it to you ear, the TyTn isn't so big as the Jasjar but it still looks a bit on the chunky side but as it is also a WM5 device I expect it to have the same sort of faults. As soon as the P990 is out I'm getting one & selling the Jasjar as I miss all the things I loved on my P910

I'm not too keen on WM5 after owning a JasJar & XDA Exec, but I have point out that the TyTn has the following the P990i does not:

- HSDPA (even though WM5 needs an update to make use of this)
- 802.11g

For those that have a TyTn please could you tell us:

- after using PIE and say the camera app how much RAM do you have
- how much user memory do you have in a virgin device

Also is it the case that the MicroSD is limited to 2GB since I believe the P990's Duo Pro can go as high as 8GB. Also the price of Duo Pro 2GB cards are similar in price to MicroSD I believe

Another point to make perhaps. One of the software available for WM5 / TyTn is Skype/VoiP support. I've got another few weeks before I have to make up my mind. I'll probably wait until both are out and will check look and feel prior to purchasing either of those.

Give it a month or two and I think we will se some form of skype-version for symbian and p990. Skype has talked about this if I doesn't remember totaly wrong...

Please confirm or correct me...

I dunno how I missed that

TyTN does use microSD, not the miniSD that I was sure I read

what are they thinking? The one dissapointment I had with the k-jam after the original jam was the change down size from standard SD to miniSD... and now they have done it again

thats a negative for me and a bad move from HTC IMHO!

@masseur, the reason I said 'MicroSD' because expansys.com and mobileburn.com both mentioned MicroSD. Please confirm (sorry!) that its not MicroSD
