i think it depends on how you use it, like lady and by, ones pronounced as an E and the other as I

It can really depend on where you are from two good examples are Peugeot and Nissan.

In the case of Peugeot: In the UK people say "Per Show" and in Ireland people say "Phew Show" indicating that neither nation can pronounce French words:)

In the case of Nissan: people in the UK and Ireland say "Niss Anne" in America they say "Neee Son" although I'm not sure where they got that from?

i knew about the Nissan one but not the Peugeot.

One word that always annoyed me though is Aluminum!

This isn't an argument against America, It’s just an argument at appalling spelling

ohhh yea about aluminium........someone from my school asked a sport teacher what the differences between aluminum and aluminium are and he ssaid that they thinks aluminum is stronger than aluminium or something. lol.

scorchio, are you thinking of the song "Lets Call The Whole Thing Off"?
