I dont take care of the cam quality, what i dont get, is the principal. Se wanted to put some advantages in k610 after k600, but imo just to reduce costs they choose the wrong way. Indeed, its a cheap fone, so more costumers would go for it, but i got used to quality, on every level.

The K610 has quite some advantages over the K600. There are:
- Expandable memory
- Better browser
- RSS Feeds
- Blogging
- Faster UI
- Better Cam
- Smaller
- Lighter
- Lower price (initial price that is)
I like the K610 design better than the K600 but that's a matter of personal taste. And I'm fine with the quality - it doesn't creak etc (as my Z800 did).
Of course I would prefer a K800 in the same form-factor and weight than the K610 and I would pay the price. But if that would have been possible, SE had done it already.

And why no flash? U have to agree, its really weird, cos for a umts fone visual features are basic. How to show anything in the dark for the caller?

I wouldn't say the camera quality is that bad. I mean, obviously the K750 will be better. It was the class leader (and still could be debatably) but the K610 still produces decent 2 megapixel photos for the average consumer. And that's what it's marketed for, the mass market.

@boba - Nice ! Comparable with the K750 I think - 2 MP ! The 2nd (lawn) and 3rd images (cat) are sharply taken !
@leo - I was about to get the Motorola V3X 3 months ago, but when I heard about it's 'poor' battery life from friends (1-2 days, stand-by) . . . I changed my mind . . . Good Luck!
@kimi - I think the K600 has a smaller (length and width) 'shell' size compared with the K610i dude . . .

@JN - bad battery life for a V3x? thats too bad. i really love the w900 though but it's still very expensive.
what other 3G phones would you recommend? any brand will do just as long as its in the price range of the V3x.

Those pictures look to be of a pretty good quality to me. At least as good as those taken with the D600, if not slightly sharper in fact (Don't tell Miss UK I said that!
)
Like the K750i et al. it seems to suffer a bit from noise in lower light settings - there seems to be a bit of it on the hedgehog pic but shots like the one of the cat and the apartment complex look to be as good as anything the K750 would produce.

The thing where auto-focus would've helped out the most would be with the finer details, where in the K610 they aren't very sharp. Good examples are if you look at the cat's fur or the hedgehog's spikes.
@boba
Is that a pet hedgehog?
