Hi All,

I had tested BB Connect 3.35 for the past couple of days. It works with P990i with BES (but only supports the latest R3A04 firmware) . I am not entirely sure if it works well with BIS. There are a few issues I had discovered and note I am on Exchange Server:

1. Moving of emails to archive folders. These emails are still there on the P990i.
2. I can download attachments of up to 30kb. I can use QuickOffice to open it. However, if I choose to use Blackberry's way of "View Attachment", BB Connect 3.35 attachment viewer will crash. If I continue trying harder, the whole BB Connect 3.35 will crash. Have to reboot the phone at this point.

3. Calendar - If I use BB on the P990i to make a "New Meeting". I then invited someone who in the end rejects the meeting. If I delete this calendar entry on the P990i, it will not delete the entry in Outlook. Strangely, if that person accepts the meeting, and then I go delete from P990i's calendar, Outlook will also be deleted. Note I only tested invitation of 1 person.

it is out in Singapore and can be installed at SE service Centres

a member from a Singapore SE forum posted the software after getting it from the service centre.

it is said that BIS users may faced difficulties in using it.

I'm using BES.

BIS is blackberry internet service, while BES is BlacKberry enterprise service. With BES you need a enterprise server. With BIS you can set it using a webmail application.individuals while BES is for organisation.

Was it hard to connect to your BES at the enterprise? Did you have to pay for BES and register with your operator, or oculd you just use your GPRS connection?

Hi, for Blackberry, be it BIS or BES, we still need to sign up for Blackberry Data plans by paying our local Blackberry service provider a monthly premium. For BES, there is even a one time CAL license to be paid to RIM (owner of Blackberry service).

Hi, BB Connect with BES only works with Emails and Calendar for Wireless Reconciliation. As for contacts, notes/jotter and tasks, all needs to be manually sycn via PC Suite.
