lol, well next time grab his phone and check his sent folder...!

I plan to. Today I asked him to tell me what time it said in his sent items folder and he said 23:07. Problem is this, the phone gives the phone clock time in the sent items folder, not the actual time, so if his phone was is set slow it will appear to be sent earlier than it actually was..

I can't work out if I'm being paranoid, just seems a bit too coincidental to me!

Don't see how that makes any difference.

I have some mates in Sweden & whener they text me it comes up later than it actually is here (by one hour) as they are an hour ahead over there. I always assumed it was because their mobile phone clocks are set an hour ahead.

BTW I never understand the sent times on these postings. The last posting was Posted: 2006-08-23 14:26 yet on my laptop, it says the time is 13:50?

Anyway, good luck with the boyfriend!!!

Yea I think the sent times on phones is the time according to the network, not the phone. So in your case, the network in sweden is an hour ahead. Received times however correspond to the phone clock time. I just don't know what to think about this one..oh dear!

I would suspect that this is not the first time you have been suspicious of your boyfriend? I maybe wrong.

If events in the past have led you to feel/think this way then there is a chance you are right? The sub-conscious often instinctively knows the truth even if our own minds won't accept it.

Depending on his phone, if you get a chance attempt to send a text - when you goto 'send' a list of recent recipients will appear and you can see any unusual contacts.
-Point being that he is more likely to delete sent items from the sent folder than here

Yes you're right. Problem is I can never decide whether I am overanalyzing (I'm naturally suspicious anyway) so look to try and prove him innocent. I guess I'm also too scared to look now as whenever I've had reason to believe infidelity in the past (through phone) he always denies it and there are always other explanations that one can apply.

I'll try the thing you suggested when I see him next, if I can.

Good idea...although my mates ex was cheating on him and when he got suspicious of some text messages she received all of a sudden they stopped. What he didn't realise is that his girlfriend had changed the name of her new fella in her address book to a girls name so that he wasn't suspicious about them.

Hmmm

I hope this is all innocent. Just got no way of knowing for sure. To be honest it doesn't look good, a phone doesn't lie! sent time says 23:10, which I know after testing is the network time (which is GMT) not the time that appears on his phone...I also know that sent time is not when the message is sent from the service provider to your phone (I think this is true because that explains why when I turn my phone on and have received a text, it still gives me the proper time it was sent to the SMSC).

The only other possible explanation is its the time that the SMSC received the text, but to be honest thats pretty much the same as when someone selects send...don't know if any sort of delay in being received by the SMSC is feasable?
