yep im awfull I do that allot if its like old scratched it just goes for repair/replacement

I pop it open which is dead easy then disconnect the hd, which is dead easy
I just use the apple site under warrenty

Also i have no clue as to how to go about dismantling it properly and putting it back together, it is a good idea as i bought it in December last year so it is still under warranty right?
