@mario - Yeah . . I've been hearing about this 'hacking' of passwords here at Esato since- 2003, I wonder why Laffen is NOT doing about it? So in effect, the 'bogus' - Mario 2002 'did' access your password - right?

Correct. I have emailed Laffen already :-) The problem is not really with Esato. I was too careless with my password. Anyone can get lots of info about me from the net. While been honest helps to get trust from other net users, it also openes the door for less honest ones (like the one using 'mario2002')

ROLMAO @ whoever came up with the idea of hijacking mario's Esato account. It's a very daft and sinister plot but I kinda looked forward to the "new and improved" mario singing the praises of the P990 and UIQ...I find it quite strange that the "real" mario criticises a phones performs when he has never(and probably will never) used it.

As far as I am concerned, you can't change the registered e-mail yourself you must contact the moderate AKA Laffen.
So did this guy also hack your e-mail? Or thats how he got your password?

I don't think so, althou I have changed the email's password. What I think happened is - the esato password is stored on my cell's browser login page. From the same cell I run a web server (as of last week). Quite a few buddies logged on and right at the begin I've used a 'standard' username/password which comes with the server program and obviously should be changed before going 'online' for the first time. The cellphone is most if not all the time 'on' and also the server program is started and goes automatically online. Only after a few days, after realizing how popular it got (people asking me to take random pics for them) , I did remembered to change the 'username and password' .For the first few days every visitor had full access to my cellphones data - browser included ! It may be something als at play to, but I don't brake my head about that :-)

That is very interresting...Its cool having your phone on as a server the whole time...i tried requesting a pic the other day, but for some reason it didn't work...
But Mario, identity theft is the next big thing, so be carefull mate! Can't to think of it, i need to be carefull myself....

@mario
I am sorry about the theft.
@jojo
What is the problem and what should I do? That you have been hearing about hacking passowords here does not make it a reality. Tell me one member that you know of wich has lost his password because someone has 'hacked' Esato. Please stop making untruthful storries.

This is the first time I've ever heard of anything like this happening on any board I frequent, certainly Esato!
I feel sorry for Mario, I hope he gets his account back soon - how would the mods go about doing this? 'Ban' Mario 2002, but can they reset his password and give him his account back, or does 'Mario 2003' have to start again with his new ID? Just curious as to the procedures.
I guess this is an object lesson in being careful with your user ID and password, though by the sounds of it Mario made a genuine mistake here for this to happen, hope you get your account back soon
