oh right y doents he just register with orange email on the site, will be easier then go her and enter yr details: http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]1_2&zone=ps&lm=ps1_1&pid=10242

seen as he will get the setting sent to him by se and all he will need to is just try it.

well setting it up manualy isnt that tricky, seen as orange and 02 use the same for the outgoing and incoming sever e.g mail.o2.co.uk

Remember that you'll also need two certificates to get gmail going. They are Entrust.net root and Thawte Premium Server CA. I got hold of them via links here in the forums. Now gmail works like a charm both in- and outgoing. PM me if you don't find them here or elsewhere.
