if its blank then your number is not on the sim card. I rmember in older models you could type in the number but I don't seem able to do that on my k800 so I guess thats all we can do.
I'd suggest simply calling another phone to get your mobile number, or call o2 and ask them

Problem is that I'm on Pay As You Go and I don't have any credit on my K800 which is on O2.
You'd think that at least one of all the leaflets O2 give you with the phone or your Top Up card would tell you, I mean its pretty useless if you don't know your own number.

You have already been told how to get your number?!
When on the main screen without keypad lock etc just press the up/down arrows on the side of the phone and it will say MY NUMBER as well as the battery % etc.
If it doesnt then goto phonebook, highlight new contact, click Options > Special Numbers>My numbers and enter it in there [ This Message was edited by: iamcrunchie on 2006-09-02 17:28 ]

go to an O2 shop and ask them what your number is, they could probably get with your first, last name and address.

(just to recap the thread...)
...and the subsequent discussion mentioned that the number was not shown in the status screen (using the up/down arrows), nor was it in "my numbers", which is where the status screen gets it from anyway!
and he can only enter if it he actually knows it, which is the whole point of this topic.. but as also mentioned, I can't access that field on mine and mine is also blank (but I do know my number!)
