Please answer these question below between..
a) Excellent
b) Average
c) Poor

1.The Battery Performance So Far? AVERAGE

2. The Camera Performance So Far? EXCELLENT

3. The QWERTY keyboard Performance So Far? EXCELLENT

4. The Software & Connectivity Performance So Far? EXCELLENT (AVERAGE for PC Suite only - still as annoying as ever)

Subjective Question
1. Please Rate This Phone between 1 to 10.. where 1=very poor and 10=Excellent

8

2. Please Give Your Opinion About This Phone..

Overall very happy. Love the form factor and build quality (it is an expensive device, but it *feels* expensive too). Firmware still needs some work, but this will no doubt be resolved over the coming months. Sounds quality from built in music player with my SE HBH-DS970 is fantasic - really good quality. Wlan works brilliantly.
Battery performance is OK at the moment, although I will be investing in a BST-34 when they are available.

I'd give this phone a 9/10

After having this phone for the past 2 weeks or so i have to admit i quite like it. Has really grown on me since ive had it, brilliant form factor i think and really is a phone/pda device. Although it has a few bugs, which can be annoying the fact of the matter is that there are workarounds them.
Pretty confident that SE will continue to tweak this phone in the future but at the moment im loving this phone, just like the previous p-series.

1.The Battery Performance So Far? As expected

2. The Camera Performance So Far? Exceeded Expectations. I went to a shop and printed the pixs. You could never tell they are made with a 2MP camera!!!!! And how about the Video recording with 3o fps? Perfect.

3. The QWERTY keyboard Performance So Far? OK. I would have settled for a larger screen

4. The Software & Connectivity Performance So Far? Except the bugs, it is better than any other SE phone. It DOES have Wifi, It DOES have better calendar, It does have more out of the box apps (RSS, Desktop, Scanner), it DOES connect in the order specified (GR8T feature), it DOES have RADIO, it DOES have OPERA, it DOES support secured POP3 email access (like GMAIL) and on and on ...

Comments:
Let me ask whom ever complains: When P800 was out, how many out of the box 3rd party apps were on the market? It all culminated with the P910i, with the same UIQ (I totally agree, P910 is a great phone), but all the developers had all the time in the world to develop apps. On the P990, you GET some out of the box functions never implemented before.
I have on my P900 the Handy day PRO, but it took them so many tries to get it right. It is version 1.51. Hello!!! I have Magic Profiles Pro, and again how many tries it took them to get it right and on the market?! I agree, P990i could be better, but for what I get now, I love it. I am patient. I know we will get the apps we want. That is what happens with anything new. Look at Apple. They have such a great product, but not that many 3rd party apps? Now see, Windows has MANY apps, but again how many bugs?!? Every week there is a software update. And we don't complain. We just update the software. And how many years in the works was XP? And how many years XP has been on the market? 5 or 6? Hello people.
One that has this phone will always be picky. that is why one got he phone. That having said, one will never like what one gets. It will NEVER be 100%.

I echo ares's words.

I am a mobile phone fanatic but there is nothing out there at the moment that would get me to part with P990.

The camera is unbelievable for a 2MP, as is the sound reproduction through the HBH-SD970's.

One aspect that has not been mentioned often but is extremely important, is the call sound quality. The best i have expereinced on a phone.

Memory management slightly improved but a long way from being acceptable for the application potential the phone offers.

Hi,

Question to P990i users. If You have ever worked with Motorola A780, do You recommend to stay with it or buy P990i ?

regards,
Kostek
