No there not criminolgy is more law based whereas forensic science is based on the collection and preservation of evidence and how to interpret it!
You can do a combined forensic science with criminology degree which works out at around 80% forensic science and 20% criminology.
I decided to do just the single degree as i have heard that combined degrees can be a struggle.
