Whats funny is that where i live, W800 is currently more expensive than the W810. What possible reason can be behind this?

well in my country is the same. W800 is better for me...no sense in an
"upgrade" (for me: downgrade)

how many threads here do you see about hissing in the w800?

how many threads here do you see about hissing in the w810?

how many people do you think jumps at the bandwagon of omg omg the w810 is a w800 upgrade omg omg it'll hiss just the same omg omg

i've had my w810 for 5 months and it's never hissed on me more than my home pc's 5.1 speaker setup has hissed on me

original/1st in the same sentence = redundant

the orange and white part is your opinion

fine, i have beef against the lack of active lens cover, but it's that's one drawback not everyone really cares about. how many nokia phones have active lens covers anyways? how many XXX-brand phone have active lens covers?

the w800i i heard on a site is out of production because it is being replace by the w810i and affordable w700i i hear, correct me if im wrong. So you probaly won't be seeing any more of the w800i

w800i is the original 1st walkman phone.

if you want the w810i than beaware of the hiss before you buy it.

w800i > w810i by far. offers quality muisc..no hissing

W810 - edge (faster internet), new design (if u r bored with w800´s one), lack of cam shutter (downgrade), smaller internal memory (worst for games and apps), screen bigger but resolution is the same ( its up to u, a bit bigger-w810 or a bit sharper-w800), lack of joystick (personal opinion), activity menu (good for w810). Thats about it, u may find same software differences in w810 but they r almost irrelevant in daily use. If I could get a W810 for 40 bucks I´d definately get it... and then sell it! Or keep it and sell w800. Its up to u.

@Q - It's small in size, compact and has a BIG external memory-stock (acceptable size though not in GB, but upgradeable) . . .

Does anyone know what will be the price of W850? Because I dont want to get a W810 in the same month as a next gen phone will come. But if W850's too expensive, I might go for the W810.

You know, eventually the W800 joystick is going to give you problems. As for the hissing problem in the W810 I think it comes down to how clever one's ears are. I don't hear it in mine at all. Now for the W850, it's just plain ugly not to mention that you would have to expect it to be clumsy since it's SE first attempt at a slider.

dont go for the w810...think about it urself..wats better...except for edge.and no joystick..and ur joy isnt troublin u anywayz so wait another couple o months and get w850..that certainly will have a way better screen then w800 and w810 (cuz its the same screen as k800which is amazin) ...i have a k790 and my uncle w810..he likes my phone better..cuz o the better interface and screen..
IMO wait for the w850..that will b a tru upgrade rather then jus a design one..

If you get w850 remember that its cam is worse than w800/810 because it doesnt have autofocus and it makes a BIG difference. Downgrade is a serious thing. Blame it on se's silly new design that in order to adress more specifically its products, is downgrading functions. Simply ridiculous
