did some planned server maintenance this weekend, meaning they took the firmware servers offline. It was planned to be down between 10am and 1pm (GMT) Saturday, so perhaps they ran into other problems as well so the downtime was longer then expected. It's still down.

correct
it probably went up just shortly after my post, cause when I tested EMMA just went on for ever checking for updates with no respons from the server, but now it finished the updatecheck.

sorry for being OT there. anyways, i've successfully upgraded my m600i using SEUS so i guess its up and ok now. Thanks for the reply.

Due to critical server maintenance EMMA III / Update Service / Update Service Pro / EMMA III Admin Tool and PCR will be unavailable on Saturday September 9th from 10:00 GMT to 13:00 GMT (12:00-15:00 CEST).

Hi, I am new to Sony Ericsson. My location is in Los Angeles area. I am expecting my m600i white to come in by UPS on on the 13th. I downloaded Sony Ericsson update service and PC Suite out of curiosity though right now before my phone arrives.
Since last two days, the update service is just saying that it is unavailable at the moment. Try again.
The update program I downloaded is from m600i support website in UK. The US website does not have the link as m600i is not supported. Maybe the programs are the same, but the program description on US website does not mention m600i in supported phones.
Is this normal!! Is the update service down due to some maintenance at their end. Or is it just not available in US.

seems like they have some server problems yes, I'm getting a server busy message when trying to login through EMMA, no info about it on the EMMA III site.
Try again later and it will probably work better. Even though you are located in US it doesn't matter. The application identifies the phone and then update it with the most current firmware (if available).
