@amne - Reallllly I've been to Hong Kong numerous times . . . and I was at awe when I saw those flashy cars in the street . . . that is PLAIN streets mate . . the likes of: Ferrari, Lambo, Rolls Royce, Jaguars, Bentleys etc. . . . and that's 'is' just in HK . . . I guess there will be 'more' like these attractions in Japan mate. About those hi-tech gadgetries . . . when I've asked a friend to get me some Digicam brochures who went to Tokyo last May 2006, he got me about 10 folders of 10 different brands Nice !

Take my word for it, you've got high expectations. You want to see Mercs, BMWs, Ferraris and other exotics as standard on the road, go to Qatar, Bahrain, Emirates (anywhere in the Middle East). I'd love it if you could visit the Middle East, take every single gadget from every country, we've got it.

Hong Kong is a flashy place, Tokyo is a bit over hyped. Like how people tend to think the US has Laser Canon weapons

Not many cars like that on the roads in Japan m8. Also its quite different than movies. In addition to gadgets there are fantastic gardens and historic sites, great restaurants .. Its a very beautiful country. Also in both Japan and Singapore the public loos are clean and usable.. Cant say the same for alot of other countries.. Several that i can think of you definetly DO NOT want to use the loos in as they are filthy and most of the time dont work.

@amne - Oh yeah . . . at your TURF, who would just miss those 4x4's rallying on the sand - Dubai Rallye etc. Also, not to forget those numerous exotic collections of CARS of your: Kings/Prince' and Sultans as I've seen on the Discovery Channel and some mags . . . Where would we expect luxury cars 'most' but in the country where the BLACK GOLD is being siphoned under ground

@ss - Yeah . . . Japan's fabulous RESTOS !

I'll take your words with those mates . . . Japan is ONLY 'flashy' only in TVs and movies

lol you make it seem like there's sand and oil and sheikhs everywhere

It's not the case. There are buildings, greenery and it's beautiful.
As for Oil, we don't touch the stuff, it's the government. People can't own oil like in America.

Our countries in the Middle East take care of it's people.
For example, Qatar gives it's nationals free electricity, free water, free phone lines, land to build a home, money to help start building a home, and a yearly small salary. It takes care of the people so the people can take care of the country. Add to that fact that there's no tax, and it's heaven.

I often wonder how British people can live in England. It truely drains every penny out of you. THen there's word that they're going to raise the VAT to 25%! WHAT!

Anyway, here are some photo's of Qatar for Luke.

Host of 2006 Asian Games, Largest Mall in the Middle East, and a whole lot of cheap gadgets.

Largest Mall in Middle East (has a skating rink in the middle of it).

The country

One of the favourite passtimes is riding a dhow at the corniche on a lovely bright and breezy day or lit up night.

LOL! Dhow's are all over the middle east. It's particularly known in countries like Bahrain (a pearl fishing country) and Qatar (a fishing area)

and that Island isn't Lou Lou that's Palm Islands in Doha.

Doha is the capital of Qatar if people didn't know that.

edit: sorry I just wanted to point out that I laughed when I read your post fatreg

It's like saying, wait! Isn't that Honda Accord in France?

@amne - Nice pics mate . . . breath-taking! Your lucky because Qatar is a RICH country . . . you can almost LIVE there without looking for a job, as everything's for FREE ! I remember a country where goverment will even PAY it's people just to bear kids . . . as their population (birth rate) is not growing. I just forgot what country was that Singapore or New Zealand

Lol no no Jojo, that's an exaggeration. Not everything is free. You do need to work. You need a job, you need money to build and succeed in life.
Qatar's population is just 500,000 that's all. Thanks for the kind comments though. I am proud at Qatar's progression.

Soon we'll be better than Dubai that's for sure.
