Not exactly the same, but I just changed from a K750 to a W810 and I'd have to say that I find it to be a much more refined phone. The look of it is much sharper than the K750 and I honestly don't care for the white W800, if I did - I could have gotten the White W810.
Also having EDGE and quad-band was very important to me since I can't get a decent 3g phone to use in the US. My experience with EDGE so far has been GREAT! I have been browsing the web on my notebook using BT to my w810 and the speed is very good - I did a speedtest and I was consistently getting 165kbps down by 89kbps up or 19kbytes by 11 kbytes.

Quote:I don't know about the EDGE, because in some pages (including Esato and the SE W800 white papers) say's that instead of EDGE, W800 has HSCSD which is not that bad.
no way that HSCSD can "compare" to EDGE. HSCSD is the glorified name for normal dial up wap.

I would not buy W810 if I already got W800! Maybe I would buy some other phone...

No, its not worth it at all. Just new looks, same from inside.
Yes, it has flash themes, wanna pay 40bucks to see them? No, thanks.
sorry but you're wrong....
the w810 has a better screen it's is brighter and the colors are richer and deeper the screen is also bigger
the phone also has 850 mhz and edge.. (if those are important to you it's easily worth the extra $40)
on top of that the dpad and keypad are better then the w800 imo.
there are also signifigant changes to the UI that one should be aware of.
the filemanager has been redesigned to split card and phone memory
the apps and games can be installed on the memory card
the walkman player has been upgraded to autosort all songs by grouping (artist, album etc..).. and you now have a "play all" function
the video playback can also handle higher framerates
and of course flash themes

I've never owned a W800, so I can't comment on that particular phone. I've had a white W810i for a couple of weeks now and think, overall, it's a pretty nice phone.
Unfortunately, mine has the hissing problem during music playback (with headphones) and at this point in time there does not seem to be any available fix for it. Can't access this phone with FAR Manager and the latest firmware does not fix the problem either. I find that quite frustrating.
Also, the maximum volume for the earpiece is a bit to low for my personal tastes. It's hard to hear the person you're talking with on the phone in noisy environments.
But it has good signal reception and (as usual) the great SE UI. The Flash themes are neat, too, and I like the overall size and weight of the phone.
