Yeah thanks for that. Well it seems email wont be functional, though is there a lot of people who send emails from there phones, i know i dont....to me its useless, unless its a p990 or something like that.
Someone on hofo also stated in that thread that you may not be able to enter your network settings for internet etc as some phones dont allow it these days, though i think thats NOT the case with the v904....
But as i said earlier most functions will be available, the odd one or 2 apps may not work, but im looking into it.
When its 'properly' unlocked, you never know, they could find a way to allow emails.
if anyone has any other queries, offers etc, pm or reply here
thanks

I'm interested in knowing if you can unlock it (or flash it)
Amnesia, the phone hopefully can be 'properly' unlocked soon, beta solutions are available but are unstable, so hope its not too long now....
The phones can be flashed, though this one doesnt have voda branding, only a couple logos on the phones body...

Just waiting to pick it up. I took the photos of the phone the other day when i went to look at it, but didnt bring it home that day. It was new in the box, but i wanted to test it first.
Its a really good phone, FANTASTIC screen, great cam, good speakers, build quality is good, menu is fairly good, but of course i prefer sony ericssons menu layout.....

I am still interested but can you check this out, because my sources tell me
" Since the 904SH, all the Japanese Sharps have had their Internet Settings options deleted, which means you can't manually configure them with a different operator's settings (only the automatic configurator for Vodafone Japan is left in there now). That's besides the fact that there's still no unlock and nobody really knows when it's going to arrive (people have said they are close since early this year and keep saying it despite no progress).
So, even if an unlock is made to work, you'd still only be able to use voice calls, video calls, SMS, and nothing else at all."
I know Japanese phones very well too, and do busy there and visit many times a year.
So voice, video calls, SMS and camera...... and still no unlock..
I also hope you do not pay for a phone that is very limited, when used outside of Japan
Good luck !
