Why wouldn't it work?

We have the same discussion about this everytime a higher capacity card is released or announced. The 8gb will defiently work though they're could be more of a battery consumption, from the experience ive had with big capacity cards.

I'm not sure if anyone has yet attempted and purchased the £100.00+ 4gb but my guess is that it works.

...before long we'll have 16 and 32gb cards .

well sheringham i completley agree with you, bcos i have a mate who has a w800i and has a 4gb ms pro duo in it, and he has had no problems, only thing he noticed was the slow access to files, you had to wait a minute or two for your mp3's to load onto the phone when you first turn it on. I cant see it being any different with the 8gb with the w800i and anyway it is the older cousin of the w810i and the system is basically identical! so the 8gb card should work!

well as far as i know, the memory format will be FAT32 for bigger memory space. My cousing have a 4gb fat32 mspro duo on his p990i and i tried it on my w810 and it worked with no problems, so that means that the phone supports fat32, wich means that it would support the 8gb one.

The w810, w800 or any other phone should support the 8gb MSPD, but the only thing you lose is the reading\\writing speed which needs to be done by card reader. And you will need some more time to load the phone completely.

Hi all,
But until the price drops this works out at @£35per GB which is kind of expensive don't you think? It must be cheaper and very little trouble to just use a couple of cards of 4GB which according to the ad above the last post is only £69.99 so half the price of a single 8GB card. I mean its not like these cards are big or difficult to swap is it.
