I got the HPM-70's today and everything seems ok with them, the 'walkman' text is a bit curved at both sides, and it has a tag on it saying 'HPM-70' with a serial number.
There's also an engraved 'Sony Ericsson' at the back.

My ear-phones used to slip out as well - then I put those little black fuzzy things on them and they fit perfect!
