It is a cracking phone but the size is the downside. I bought a ICE-20 for mine and you cannot use it with the flip on, it is too big. So i guess i will have to take it off, grr!
Bit annoyed as i wanted to keep the flip on but i guess if i want to keep it in tip top condition it will have to come off, ah well. Apart from that and the slight hanging when opening messages mine has been perfect, no faults at all.

It isn't locked to any network, i use it on o2. It is a generic handset, unlocked with no branding. Not even any vodafone startup/shutdown animations.

I feel ok with the size, took the flip off which helps.
The flip gives it a few extra mm in size and a bit more weight.

Initially I didn't like the look/design of the p990 against my p910, but it has grown on me. I still,however don't feel like getting one. I'm waiting for a replacement as I feel it's a bit of a letdown when you think of the p-series since its inception.
