guys calm down i had this problem before and i posted it in the bugs and problems thread simply there is a a software which cozed this probably conflict of data that happens when installing or uninstalling a software and my guess is that this conflict is causing the P990 to run out of memory (RAM) so it keep restarting to * improve preformance * if you installed something to the memorystick recently it could be it or some times when a demo software runs of limits it happend to me twice first i also thought it was the memorystick then i knew it was cozed by a softwares as another guy at my-symbian reported too anyway here is the solutions

1- rebooting the device IN FLIP CLOSED and then try to uninstall the software that recently was added

2- formatting the memorystick only (dont copy the files from the memorystick and then paste them coz u might take the faulty files with u)

3- format everything and reflash the phone

keep us updated with ur situation so we can sort this out and i hope this can help you

Well, if you've installed some program on the memory stick which might cause all this, just try a different memory stick. That way you can figure out where the problem is. I still think - SE should swap all the 'problematic' P990i's free of charge on. Let them starr at the screen where it says ' . . . to improve performance'. My brothers had a similar problem. Brand new - out of the box. He send it back the very next day and put me off a P990i for eternity.

If that's the case then, get a higher capacity memory stick duo.
