I don't think you can use your phone as a modem via PC. It saids so in the small print. You have to use it on your phone.

You can use it but if they find out they will lower your speed or something

Orange also do a similar deal, £1 for "unlimited" access for a day. However unlike T-Mobile, you have to opt-in every day, so even if you don't use £1 worth of access, you still get billed the whole £1.
