If you're brave you can do it yourself and purchase a joystick from ebay.

I've had this problem twice but fix it with a little AF Spray (cleaner/de-greaser for printers).
Good as new!

I had some problems with my K800 joystick as well. then one day, being completely bored, I cleaned it by folding a small strip of paper and pushing it in the little space surrounding the joystick. I then moved it alongside the joystick cleaning it from dust. And to my big surprise, it actually worked! So, no more joystick trouble for me (also worked on my old K750, work’s much better now).
