what do u mean apple products arent that great visually??? Appleīs design is one the finest in the world, just at the ipod, the imac, the mac pro, the macbooks... no company has a design like appleīs, some people actually buy its computers just because of their design. are u on dope??????

You have to be blind dude. Apple products win awards for design. Look at the entire laptop collection or the G5. They are beautiful and there is no Dell, Gateway, PC, etc..... that can match an Apple product in its design.

While I can understand your sentiment, I think Apple would be shooting themselves in the foot. Sure, why not give Windoze users a taste of the high-life. Apple is going mass market. The Intel processors are proof of this. Why do you think M$ is implementing this authenticity initiative? Who needs a Dell (Windows runs faster on a Mac than a Dell by the way), when I can bootleg a copy of Windows and run it on my Mac. The PC makers are scared sh$#less over this. Better get out your anti-virus software for Mac OS X. Apple is going big time.

Well, yeahhhhh.....
It has to be the active Windows partition but you will need an anti-virus for this. So guess what, if you are running Windows and your HD gets a virus, your Mac partition is still infected. The virus may not work under Mac OS X but if it is a partition deleter or file deleter, it can screw up your Mac OS X installation. Also do not believe the hype about Mac being so secure. Why bother to write viruses for a small user base. As Mac OS X gets more popular, there will be viruses. Our IA guys are all Windows guys but they say not to be too happy because there are some test viruses out there for Mac already. Not to mention, how do you think anti-virus companies stay in business? Create a virus or two maybe?

That may happen... thats why i recommend not installing windows on your mac. Theres no need for that, once u start using mac os x u wont wanna use windows again ever. Some people require apps that are just for windows but the number of apps for mac os x is always growing.
Mac os x isnt save just because of its market share, the architecture of the os is different from windows and that one of the main reasons its safer. I read that on a webpage that explained it, iīll have a look and try to find it.

I agree with sapparobaby that if and when more ppl starts using mac OS X more virus creators will concentrate finding holes in the Mac OS system.
BTW there already exists viruses-ish for Mac OS X. They use the security holes that where found in iTunes and Quicktime.. Even if Mac OS X itself is quite secure you can still do great damages on its software.
Same with Linux, they've made a virus that works with a faulty issue in a certain graphic card driver.

the only place i see that written is the left hand column, and the whole thing is very old and a mockup...
you dont honestly think apple would release a product looking like that?
there has been suggestions on this board that apple do not make good looking computers....of course its personal opinion by those who think it, but cmon....really
generally speaking, who makes better looking computers?
