Mines in a case on my belt also. I dont really know why I have just done it from day one so I keep doing it. Also easier to reach when on the bus and need to change track for whatever reason.

When I am using the mp3 player when out and about, I have it in my inside pocket of my jacket, if I am in the house it's round my neck. Otherwise it is inside my bag.

Me ... My W810 B-Bwoy Ghetto Blaster Sound BWOYEEE is in me pocket!
I've never liked leather belt clips. There is ONLY one kind that I would love to have for ANY SE phone .... bring back the T39m/T28w swivel Belt clip Design!
That was seriously slick. a nice thin clip that doesnt scratch the housing (the T39m belt clip did though) and allows it to swivel. This would eliminate slow releases to access the menu, or have dust from the pocket lint into the phones earpiece or joypad center stick.

Too bulky for a pocket, too hard to get to in a bag, so it's a
Covertec padded leather belt case for me

I do the same as Shaliron, I keep my phone in a pocket by itself, with no keys, coins or anything else that could scratch it.
The only problem I've had is that the coating on the camera has become slightly worn away and has a couple of light scratches on it. Doesn't affect picture quality, but the lack of a lens cover has shown it's shortcomings!

mine's lived in a pocket for most of it's short, illustrious, life

with out
any problems (it does have a martin fields protector on the screen and
camera), but now it's being treated to a Krussell horizontal one.
Protected in transit but on show when in use !

@ Reo
Definately no visiable dust under the screen here but let it be said that I've never pulled it apart to investigate further.
Bare in a pocket always by itself and like others have mentioned only notice minor scratches on the screen and body and also the issue with whatever protects the camera lens starting to wear away but I don't notice it affecting picture quality.
