So which good blue tooth device should I buy?

The Bluetooth on the phone is supposed to be OFF when pairing with the carkit. What carkit you got? I got a Parrot Ck3100 in mine. It mentions that with some PDA type phones, syncing needs to be done a different way. But it should be straightforward.

Anyways under the Bluetooth section there are

Blue tooth on (uncheck)
Visible to other devices (check)
enable power saving (uncheck)

Is that right?

Doesn't work on my 06 M5. This really sucks.

On the other hand, my JASJAR works great!

No idea, but there is no way in hell I'm changing the OEM kit just to use it with the P990. I'd change the phone instead

BTW, I'm just waiting for the next P990 FW update, if it still doesn't work I'm selling it.

@ Enrique

Sounds like a good idea to me. P-series has had endless problems with BMW Bluetooth since day one. Mind you, so did K700, K750i... [sigh!]

Never been much of a fan of P-series myself.

@ksxt

Here's some of the discussions I've been involved in about P-series/BMW issues.

Try these guys... http://www.parrot.biz/uk/ (obviously select the country your in). Although I agree with Enrique. Change the phone, not the OEM carkit.
