Besides, using the IP address would result to a step less from the process of resolving the URL name. So it would be a bit faster.

how do you find the IP address of the POP and SMTP servers ? i'm with bredband in Stockholm Sweden (pop.bredband.net - smtp.bredband.net)

Thanks for that Laffen but STILL all i get is
"connecting" then "finding server" ...... Nothing more happens until i press no then the phone hangs !! Argggggggggg Help (

I checked everything but have no ides why it does this......

Yes yes i can help you dont hang up you need to press Send & Recive again. The first time it is Only conecting to the server! I can manage to do this but does anyone now how to send the mail i can recive but it never does send? WHYYYY? and i use Chello does anyone knows the ip numbers for @chello.no pliiiz help the man from Oslo!!

Nope, nothing happens, it just says finding server. If i just let it time out it says "server not found" i'm sure all my settings are ok........... MADDENING.

Yes i can help you! what is wrong is that you must choose on option to conect wit then choose a wap profile that suports email on Netcom it is spesial for email not ordinary GSM WAP but somthing cold GSM Mail hard to exsplain

I'm not sure why you had a problem with that mine work fine with the names as opposed to the IP address. I'm on orange and dial straight into tesconet as if i was dailing from a computer. Are you on a different network or do you dial a wap account first?
