Anyone got this working on a K800i on O2? It installed ok, but when I run it I get the error 'Network Unavailable. This program requires a working data connection. Please check your signal strength'. All my other Java apps can access the internet with no problem. As with other apps, I select 'Yes' when asked 'Allow application to send to the internet?'. Some other users on the Google Groups support area seem to be having the same issue.

I can quite happily access my gmails, and send new ones or reply, through the email client on my M600 and TyTN so I can't really see the point of installing an app to do it.
I suppose some older java capable phones would find it useful though
I second that...except that its in my P990.

Before you would have to fire up your mobile web browser and navigate slowly to view your Emails online.
Since july, 2005 I use
MailMan with Gmail and have no troubles.
The inbuilt e-mail client also works fine.
The only trouble is that Gmail uses SSL certificates for SMTP and POP that are not present in SE phones, so you have to install them.

I have one small problem with the NEW Gmail application. It now takes 11 clicks to get my gmail whereas it only took 4 when I went to the web based version. I'm not sure how this is supposed to be better or easier.
On the w810i I have Gmail (the web site) saved in my bookmarks, but the closest you can put Gmail (the app) is in the applications folder which cannot be navigated by the shortcut menu.
Got any ideas?

Leave it running in the background, but still log out and make sure the net connection closes so it doesnt cost you.
While its running and connected, I dont suppose emails arrive straight away, as in push emails?

I'm having the same issue as Lee here in Jamaica with Network Unavailable. I tried my other provider and it seems like it's connecting but nothing but loading...unless I need to wait longer?
