if you get an unknown error, you have to change the settings in gmail. whichever language you're using now, change it to english(us).

Tried it on my P990i - it was awesome. Just one lil' problem though, I couldn't seem to place a carriage return (ie. when hitting 'enter') when composing or replying a mail.
It creates a funny looking 'boxy' character'.

Thanks for that! It solved the "Unexpected Error" problem I was getting.

Why do you install this app on the M600?
I have a M600 and Gmail, with the built-in e-mail app and itīs working fine! You just have to do some SSL-settings and so on, then will it work just like a normal "pop3" e-mail!

OMG it's not a gmail checker but a true gmail app manager, so...
Here's my view:
1. Interface is good
2. It use http connection instead tcp wich means more kb.
3. It automatically download last 20 emails (20-50kb), if you reach number 21 will go for 20 more.
4. It doesnt "cache/archive" the last 20 emails, it'll download them again each time you load the app.
Conclusion: Very good for a beta, but at this moment flurry (www.flurry.com) and morange (www.morange.com) are the best email managers imho, and if you want a gmail checker you can use rss for only know if you have new email
