I'm very tempted to buy this, but the o2 shop mentions theres no PAYG version....which is weird since you can get it on PAYG with the black k800i. You think if I ring them up and ask would they be able to offer it on PAYG? (I'm not too keen on being tied down on a contract)
edit: and also, how much o2 branding is there? is it enough to bother you?

Although i rekon if you tell O2 that a free card will b the sealing factor of a deal they will throw it in no problemo!
Also...sorry volvo...all of the special themes / ringtones are ALL LOCKED and therefore can not be transfered!

I rekon you could wangle a deal on PAYG mate..try it, can't hurt!
Believe me its well worth having its nice to be different...not many people are going to have this baby as everyone goes for the black as they have seen there mates with it.

Believe it or not....THERE IS NO O2 BRANDING AT ALL...due to it being a james bond edition...all of the branding is Bond..i.e bond wallpapers etc etc which can all be removed if u wish....theres no o2 stuff at all...no o2 start up screen or anything like tht..instead its a Casino Royal start up screen:p which looks pretty sick as well

I decided to just ring o2 now, and their customer service is shocking to say the least....they didnt sound like they knew what they were talking about. Anyway, i was finally passed onto the o2 online sales team, I asked about buying it on PAYG and they said its only on contract. I asked several other questions (e.g. the black one is on PAYG so why not the silver?) and the guy simply answered "Don't Know".
Looks like I might have to settle for a contract, the cheapest one I could find was £25 for 12 months. Would it be possible to transfer my current PAYG number onto the contract? And also, after the contract finishes, would it be possible to transfer this number back over to PAYG? (ie. PAYG -> contract -> PAYG)

if so tell them you will leave them and get a contact(even though your on payg) on another service provider.that might make them give you a lil bit of a beta deal but i duno?
