Nevertheless, I got one of them, its a good alternative to the K610i. The camera functionalities are not top (no auto focus or flash), but other than that, everything else are excellent.

The phone isn't really that bad features wise. It's media player is just as good as the first generation
phones (W800, W550, W300, W710, etc.) and it is pretty slick looking as a bonus.
It's basically a W700 with 3G, minus radio, so you're not getting a bad deal really. The W700 is a decent phone as well, and SE haven't really made that many sacrifices with this phone. The reviewers are just unhappy because it doesn't have everything, which is unreasonable for a fashion phone.
Go get it
And BTW on Three you can get two Z610's for $7 each on the two $29 cap per month if you want.

there is no updated z610i coming soon afaik.....there is a rumoured cybershot flip phone, features like the k800 except flip....
Though the z610 has only recently been released, and if a new model was to come, it wouldnt be until late next year probably, if one come at all....

yeah go go go for it mate ! in black ! mmmmmmmmm!! makes me drool, although the mirror efect is cool, makes looking at the external display a pain in the sun. I tell you this as I have a Walkman MP3 player with the same mirror efect, the NW-E002F, from wich the idea was taken of I think. Another Sony influence !

The Z610 is not an old phone. Been available a couple of months or so. I wouldn't expect a direct successor anytime soon. Go buy it!
