@xanK- the Black Diamond was and still is a class act. How I wish SE manufactured that one. Well, I guess they didn't feel like paying the designer lots of money for his work.

Yes, the main thing that SE focuses on is keeping up their brand image and profit. If they moved into an all out war into the low-end market, their image as a sophisticated brand would vanish. Nokia's only really known for having lots of phones, cheap phones, would also come to mind.

plus Cybershot plus good video recording plus it being a smartphone.
People just want a high end phone from SE, but I think we'll see one soon, especially with the rumoured Handycam.

Yes, well people here are more vocal about wanting high end phones, as we represent quite a select proportion of the mobile user base; generally higher end users.
But we will see (according to Eldar and just from SE's previous strategy) many more mid range phones, and lots of variations of phones in different packages, i.e. K610/Z610.
