You've obviously never seen and/or used a W950. There's no comparison to a W810 (or a W850 for that matter). It simply blows it away. It's by far the most amazing phone I've ever owned to date.
I for one could care less about the phone not having a camera as the cameras in ALL mobile phones suck when compared to even the cheapest of digital cameras. When I want to take pictures (something I rarely do anyway) I simply use my digital camera instead.
Also, a few folks seem to be having trouble with the battery life on their phones. All I can say is that mine is EXCELLENT. I can listen to hours of music (via BT using my DS970's), watch hours of high quality (668 kbps 30 FPS MP4) video, and talk to my friends and family, and the phone still has plenty of charge left. I'm constantly messing around with my phone and I only have to charge it every second or third day at the most.
Amazing little device!

30fps

Is it smooth at that rate?
WoW, may need to get one just to see video playback if so.

@peterkay
the k800 plays videos at qvga 30fps, so does the p990i, doesnt it? And i think the w850i does too. Why is it a shock to you that the w950i plays these files?

Yes, smooth as butter at 30 fps. As long as you use the right program to encode the video, it plays wonderfully on the W950. I use my W950 to watch lots of my Windows Media Center Recorded TV (DVR-MS) shows while I'm on the road (like Lost, Heroes, Survivor, etc). The quality is amazing! I assume that the M600 and P990 are the same (although they don't play WMV when the W950 is "claimed" to be able to).

if

had wanted to put a camera in the M600 and W950 they could easily have done so
for this reason I don't expect this line to suddenly have a camera included and to be honest, I havent missed it at all.
They all do this - put in features in phases to milk a product line. Mobile-review.com did a through review of these cameras and there is a space left for the camera. He also said the plan is to over time release camera models.
Would have been smarter to do it up front - they would have got huge sales especially on the M600i, which would then have blown away any other e-mail device out there.
Only thing I can think for dropping the camera is maybe they dont have production capacity to meet true mass market demand on these UIQ3 models.

Hi all,
I don't think you could get a good quality camera in the M600 or W950 without having a big increase in size. Which i feel is one of the benefits of these phones, larges screens yet thin and reasonably light. As i have Web N Walk have no need for WiFi.

OfficeMaven, I completely agree with you! I have not found a single cameraphone that can take decent pictures, I think it's because the designers are more concerned with the MegaPixel rating than the quality of the pictures.
It's because higher MP's sell more phones, quality doesn't.
I cant wait for the w950 to finally be released here!
