Both the K750i & the K790a/i support 8GB of external memory
K750i = 8GB MSDuoPro
K790a/i, K800/810 = 8GB M2.
I know because I have BOTH the K850i and the K790a up to last mth and was able to format & save & load over 6GB of music on the M2 8GB while in the K790a - and NOT the most recent firmware as well.
