@Jah
I reset and formatted absolutely every thing i could i reloaded the firmware and have tweaked and twiddled where ever it was possible. I have made a few discoveries such view as list is much faster than view as grid. Strangely after this flash and the first reading of the newly formatted and loaded M2 it hasn't kept on asking to check for new tracks last time i had to manually change it. Bluetooth to both headset and Laptop seems more stable also, i have about 17mb Ram available on boot and 13mb odd most of the time after having run and shutdown all apps. maybe i just got a bad flash last time although i have had one Kern 3 exec error when trying to open the calendar with nothing else running took 2 reboots to clear, no idea what was going on here.

yep - its the dogs small and danglies alright! few little things that i'm still not happy with but i really dont understand all this "piece of s***" talk. Everybody is entitled to an opinion (unfortunately) but the view that this phone can be that bad is not my experience at all.

The keyboard is truely fantastic and i find myself having to use the stylus much less than i did on my p910 even tho i always used the flip on that.

@ Mobman - I agree entirely. After three years of the P series (always a flip-on man too) this is the perfect upgrade for me.

Why do you "need" votes? To reassure yourself?

Anyway, I give it thumbs up. It's not perfect, but it's almost everything I wished it would be when I bought it, and with R9A there really aren't that many annoyances that I can put my finger on, at least not enough to make count.

But then, I'm uset to and has begun to expect that no computer ever works like it's supposed to

travelled the world for many a months and have come back to good old blighty - on returning have tried many of the new phones and must say they are as good as the time i left them (yes did only travel with bare essentials i.e. tent and compass)

got the m600 for 4 mths now - no problems and found it a surprising alternative to the p series (until i try out the p990 that is)

so my vote is for the bollocks really
